Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said the AP administrative decentralisation exercise is completed while adding that the government’s initiative has received positive response from people. He said the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy earlier in the meeting said, “the middle level administration has been completely revamped in line with the YSR Congress Party vision and the success of implementation of Village Secretariat, the volunteer system and the delivery mechanism will be seen in the next five to six months.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy predicted a positive outcome from the welfare schemes asserting the state government has implemented these schemes in a transparent manner and ensured the benefits reach the people.

He said the government didn’t encounter major problems because it had taken a principled and made parliamentary constituency as a yardstick for the reorganisation of districts. The Government Advisor said while resolving minor issues and making adjustments during the exercise, 12 assembly constituencies have come under the purview of two districts.

The government had taken the aspirations of the people into consideration while reorganising the districts and therefore the whole exercise was carried out without any hiccups, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy added.

As for the Kothapeta revenue division in East Godavari district, the Chief Minister has taken a decision on it and a notification to this effect will be issued after the Cabinet meet on April 7, he said.
