Medico Fails Exam, Extorts Money From Girlfriend Over Distraction

Mumbai: Aurangabad police booked a 21-year-old student of Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) for extorting money from his girlfriend over distraction for poor results in his first year exams.

He has been charged with extortion, criminal intimidation and cheating.

According to police, the student hails from Beed district in Maharashtra. He was admitted to the BHMS course last year and studies at a college in Aurangabad.

The student however, did not focus on his exams and failed in the first year. He was denied admission to the second-year of the four-year course.

After failing, he blamed his girlfriend, who was his classmate, and asked her to compensate the money to his parents for the first year course as he alleged that she has distracted him from studies.

Enraged over this, the girl snapped the relation. She stopped talking his calls but he kept on calling her and sending her messages.

Angered over her attitude, he took to social media and posted things about her and her family, He further threatened her that he would upload pictures of her.
