All roads lead to Ichchapuram today. You enter the small town in Srikakulam district and there's an air of celebration all around. For a moment you wonder if Sankranthi has arrived early and a few minutes later you realise it sure seems to be the case, at least in this district. Huge hoardings displaying congratulatory messages for YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on successful completion of his popular mass contact initiative Praja Sankalpa Yatra are put up all along the way. Scores of people, party workers, fans, mediamen and the general masses have all assembled at his camp site to welcome the people's leader who accomplished his mission to cover the length and breadth of Andhra Pradesh to get a first hand account of people's problems. Jagan for CM and Jai Jagan slogans rent the air even as a huge cake is waiting to be cut to mark the historic milestone in Indian politics. The mood is festive and party workers jubilant what with their beloved leader reaching his goal after months of walking.
YS Jagan's padayatra which started on November 6 in 2017 will culminate today at Ichchapuram. The YSRCP chief will unveil a pylon to mark the occasion.
