TTD To File A Defamation Suit Against Former Head Priest     

In a major turn of events, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam board has finally decided to file a defamation suit against its Ex- priest AV Ramana Deekhithulu who has been alleging irregularities in the board. Putta Sudhakar Yadav, Chairman, TTD, said that all the available options were being worked out by its legal teams to file the defamation suit. The Trust is also gearing up to file similar suits against all others who have made similar allegations. “We have sought the opinion of our legal advisers as to how to proceed legally against those who raised doubts over the safety of jewels and also other aspects pertaining to Tirumala temple and TTD administration,” the trust’s executive officer, Anil Kumar Singhal, said.

Earlier, several allegations were levelled against TTD by AV Ramana Deekshithulu who happens to be the former Head Priest at Tirumala. He even demanded a probe into the inventory of jewels belonging to the temple, as also the financial irregularities that are taking place in the temple board. He wants all the temple records to be digitized for transparency. However TTD has ruled out all his allegations as baseless.
