One of the most awaited films of the year is Rajinikanth's Kaala. After much delay, the film is all set to finally hit the big screens on Friday (tomorrow, June 7). Kaala has been grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons due to Rajinikanth's comment on Cauvery Water.

Director: Kaala is directed by Pa.Ranjith. This is the second time the director has joined hands with Rajinikanth. Last time they came together for Kabali which tanked at the box office. This time, Pa.Ranjith's Kaala might strike gold at the box office.

Plot: It is a gangster drama where Rajini is seen playing a mafia don in the film. This reminds us of his cult classic Basha which was a super duper hit. It remains to be seen if this film will recreate that magic given all the hype.

Samuthirakani: The actress has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Rajinikanth. For the first time, they are sharing screen space together in Kaala. Will this jodi's chemistry be one of the highlights of the film? We will know soon.
