Twitter Comes To Rescue Of 22 Vizag Youth Stranded In Abu Dhabi

Visakhapatnam: Social media platform Twitter helped Vizag police rescue 22 members who were stranded in United Arab Emirates. According to reports, Vizag police received a complaint on the official Twitter handle of the Vizag city police.

"L.D. Prasad, an agent based in Autonagar, cheated a group of 50 youth by collecting money and promising jobs in Hyundai company in the Gulf. But, the group realized that they were cheated only when they were employed as helpers in a construction company in Abu Dhabi. Unable to cope with the harrassment, they lodged a complaint with the city police on Twitter," the police said.

Thanks to prompt response from Vizag police, till now 22 members from the group were brought back to Vizag and efforts are on to bring back the others.
