Guntur: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders attacked Guntur Tahsildhar on Friday for not following their instructions. The leaders who behaved like goons, pulled the government official by his collar and even abused him. In the melee, the Tahsildhar suffered minor injuries. The Tahsildhar has been identified as K Ramulu Nayak.

According to Ramulu Nayak, there has been a land dispute between brothers Nalluri Subba Rao and Shyam Babu in Vatti Cherukuru mandal. The land dispute case is pending in the court. Meanwhile, TDP leader Nelluri Subba Rao started visiting the Tahsildhar's office on a daily basis and began harassing him to change the records to favour him.

During a recent visit to the Tahsildhar office, Subba Rao abused Ramulu Nayak in the office. The offended officer filed a complaint with the local police. In retaliation to the complaint former minister and TDP MLA Ravela Kishore Babu called Ramulu Nayak to come to his office in Navabharat Nagar in Guntur. It is learnt that Kishore Babu met the Tahsildhar at 7 pm and demanded that he change the land records in favour of Subba Rao.

Ramulu Nayak informed the former minister that the case was in court and hence he would be able to do anything. As he was about to leave Subba Rao along with Mothukuri Veraiah Chowdary, Jagarlamudi Praveen, Pavuluri Suryaprakash Rao and two others attacked the government official. Ramulu Nayak filed yet another case against TDP leader at Pattabipuram police station. On knowing about the incident SC, ST employees as well as tribal association members came in large numbers and protested before the police station expressing their support to the Tahsildhar.
