Man Kills Wife, Attempts Suicide
New Delhi: A 37-year-old man allegedly strangled his wife to death and later attempted suicide in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar area, police said today.
In a semi-conscious condition, Umesh told police that he was having some personal issues with his wife, Jyoti (26), since their marriage five years ago, they said.
On Friday morning, Umesh and his wife had an argument after which he strangled her to death and tried to commit suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan of his room, they added.

On his second attempt, he tried to commit suicide by cutting the veins of his hands, the police said.
The statement of the family of the deceased has also been recorded, they said.
The postmortem report revealed strangulation as cause of death, the police said, adding that the man was arrested. (PTI)
