Hyderabad: Veteran Telugu film actor and superstar Mahesh Babu's father, Krishna commended Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSRCP President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for continuing his padayatra in sizzling summer. The mass contact initiative of the YSRCP chief, Praja Sankalpa Yatra was a remarkable effort to gain an insight into the problems of the people of Andhra Pradesh, he said. Superstar Krishna said that braving the extreme weather and reaching out to people was no mean task.

Speaking to senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao in his programme "Manasulo Mata" for Sakshi TV, Krishna admitted that he enjoyed a special bond with the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan. "I used to frequent Dr YSR's house to meet him; I got acquainted with YS Jagan during those days. The YSRCP Chief was always striving to do something good for the poor and his commitment has always impressed me," he said.

Actor Krishna was surprised with the overwhelming response that YS Jagan padaytra was getting all across the state, in such scorching summer. "I am sure YS Jagan will be the next CM," he predicted.

He recalled the services of DR YSR and said that he never went back on his word. He said the late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy always fulfilled the promises he made and worked for the poor and needy. He recalled that both he and Dr YSR were Members of Parliament. "From then till his last day we were very good friends. YS Jagan's padayatra is also proving to be a successful walkathon like his father's padayatra," he added.
