These girls are "gems of purest ray serene which the dark unfathom'd caves of ocean bear," in Thomas Gray's immortal words. They did not allow poverty to shackle them, but burnt midnight oil in the hope that a bright dawn will end the darkness of their impoverished lives. And sure enough, they proved their mettle in the tenth standard exams. The fact that they were students of government schools did not affect their performance, nor did it cloud their perception.

Rashmita (Vanasthalipuram ZPHS) got a 9.8 GPA, while T. Rajeswari (Suraram ZPHS) earned 9.7 and Sakina Bi (Ghatkesar ZPHS) secured 9.5. Their gritty performance in the face of difficult circumstances earned them the appreciation of actor Posani Krishnamurali. The actor was responding to a report telecast on Sakshi TV channel highlighting the achievements of the diligent girls.

Participating in a live interaction held in television studio of the head office of Sakshi media group, Posani handed out cheques of 1.50 lakh rupees each to the students and also gave them Rs. 10,000 each to celebrate their success with members of their families.

Posani said that it was Allu Arjun's generosity which had brought him to the Sakshi studio.Allu Arjun had heard of Posani's charitable work and asked him over casually one day. He then gave him a cheque for Rs. 5.00 lakhs in recognition of all that he did and was doing by way of charity.

A few days later, Posani saw the Sakshi programme, and he felt inspired to do his bit to help these students. He hoped that this would help the students strive more to accomplish their goals.
