Kannada Actor Chandan’s Wife Brutally Murders Son Before Killing Self

In a shocking incident in Doddaballapur here, a week after the death of a popular TV actor in an accident, his wife reportedly murdered their thirteen year-old son. The woman, Meena (38), wife of popular actor and television anchor, Chandan, allegedly slit her son's throat with a knife, before consuming acid. Meena was shifted to Victoria hospital where she breather her last. She was reported to be in a state of depression. Chandan was killed in a road accident near Harihar in Davangere district.

The incident has sent ripples of shock and outrage across Bengaluru. According to Doddaballapur police, Meena's relatives and members of her family, including her father and brother, were concerned about her. They feared that she could cause harm to herself and began to stay with her in their house in Someshwara Layout in Doddaballapur for about a week.
