Mega powerstar Ram Charan and superstar Mahesh Babu share a good rapport as friends in Tollywood. But when it comes to films, the releases of both the stars had clashed at the box office recently. Bharat Ane Nenu and Rangasthalam had a box office face-off. Both of them have emerged as blockbusters at the worldwide box office. Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu have collected Rs 100 Cr share at the box office. Producers sometimes tend to go the extra mile in an attempt to show that each outdid the other at the box office by releasing posters of movies from time to time with collections. Ram Charan felt that it was about time he responded to some of the collection claims in posters and the accompanying embarrassment they cause.

Posters with reports of collections create needless problems, Ram Charan is stated to have said. He pointed out that all of them as individuals, are good friends. Ram Charan sought similar goodwill and camaraderie between well-wishers of the stars, as also their fan groups. Further, he has said that he has decided not to release posters of his movies along with collections.

While Cherry has taken a path-breaking initiative, the big question is, will other stars fall suit? What about Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun? Will they walk in his footsteps?

A few months ago, Mahesh Babu's Spyder and Allu Arjun's Duvvada Jaganadham had faced considerable embarrassment after releasing collection posters of the respective films. Both of them turned out to be major disasters of 2017.

It appears that Ram Charan has set the trend in this respect and one hopes that other big stars will follow suit.
