More than Kumaraswamy, the newly sworn-in Karnataka Chief Minister, guess which memeber of the Gowda family is trending on social media. No, it's not the JD(S) veteran and former prime minister, Deve Gowda or the much wooed by the BJP Revanna, Kumaraswamy's brother. It is the Karnataka chief minister's second wife, Radhika Kumaraswamy or Kutty Radhika who has lit up social media so to say, with her presence.

From the time Kumaraswamy came into the limelight, Radhika has been high on the social media radar. Hundreds of her photos surfaced on popular social media networks including ones in which see is belly-dancing as a teen, for example.

Radhika Kumaraswamy has been a popular actress on the Kannada screen, who is believed to have married the Karnataka chief minister in a secret ceremony in London in 2006. While Kumaraswamy and his family members were in denial on the subject, Radhika herself went public about this in 2010. Kumaraswamy has been silent on this matter as he fears it might jeopardise his political career. No wonder he was accompanied by his first wife Anita Kumaraswamy to the swearing-in ceremony. The Karnataka chief minister knows, after all, that when it comes to the public, optics is everything.

Kumaraswamy cannot be unaware of the fact that his marriage to Radhika is in violation of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. He has a case hanging like the proverbial Damocles sword from 2011 when he was an MP. With his photos with Radhika doing the rounds on social media, Kumaraswamy finds himself under critical glare again.
