Gadwal: Former Minister and Gadwal MLA DK Aruna alleged that the government had not conducted land survey and rectified land records in Telangana. Speaking to media, DK Aruna said that around 30 per cent of people in her constituency did not receive Rythu Bandhu cheques, as also pass books. She observed that even if people had got their pass books, the information was wrong. The revenue officials were had mentioned that the land records showed more land than what was available in the villages, she said and added that there were many people who were on the verge of losing their land due to such false land records.

The Congress MLA demanded the government to give away cheques and pass books to all the people before the Panchayati elections. The entire programme was initiated with local elections in mind, she alleged. "After having ignored the farmers for the last four years, the TRG government was showing special interest towards the farmers only because of the impending local elections," she said.

DK Aruna said that Telangana stands in number one position with regards to farmer suicides and the government had failed to have minimum support price for the agricultural produce. The TRS government's concern for farmers is evident when we look at the incomplete Nettempadu canals. Similarly, Gattu irrigation project was still in DPR stage, he said.

Former Minister of united Andhra Pradesh said she was surprised that as a sitting MLA of Gadwal she was not aware of Idga being allocated Rs two crores fund. She was not formally invited for inauguration of the Idga works as well, DK Aruna informed.
