Congress-JD(S) MLAs At Hyderabad Luxury Hotel To Prevent Horse-Trading?

With the newly sworn-in Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa set to prove his majority, the Congress and JD(D) combine came up with an ingenious plan to stay ahead of the BJP in the numbers game. Instead of flying them out to Kochi, they MLAs of both parties were herded to a luxury hotel owned by a Congress MP in the upscale Banjara hills locality of Hyderabad. They used the services of Sharma Travel to ferry their flock to a safe haven.

The JD(S) leader and Chief Ministerial aspirant, HD Kumaraswamy is reported to have said that the MLAs of Congress and JD(S) will stick together in the days to come in the same place to duck attempts at horse trading by the crafty Amit Shah and his team.

Kumaraswamy also alleged that BJP tried to reach many of their MLAs who stood their ground and refused to cross over. Earlier, the Congress and JD(S) leaders were indignant with the BJP for having denied the chartered aircarft in which the MLAs were to be flown to take off. On its part, the DGCA refuted the claims of these parties.

Meanwhile, former prime minister and JD(S) Supremo HD Deve Gowda was spotted offering prayers at the Tirumala shrine on Friday night.
