Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming flick Kaala is one of the hugely awaited films of the year. Rajini was last seen in Kabali which was released in 2016 amidst a lot of hype. But the film failed to impress the audiences. Rajinikanth and his fans have pinned huge expectations on the film following phenomenal response to the teaser which looks promising.

The audio of Kaala was recently released and the songs have been topping the charrts already. Kaala was supposed to release in the month of April around last week but it has been pushed to June 7 for various reasons.

A source in the know tells us that there is no more delay in the release of Kaala and it is set for a grand release on June 7. The filmmakers of Kaala are planning a special event for Telugu audiences and Rajinikanth will also be part of the event. If they promote a film in Telugu it could reach to a wider audience and help to fetch big numbers at the box office.

Helmed by Pa Ranjith, the film is produced by Rajini's son-in-law Dhanush. Kaala also stars Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, and Eashwari Rao in key roles. Rajinikanth is all set to play a mafia don in the film. Watch this space for more.
