Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party spokesperson Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said it is widely known that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is the accused in Cash For Votes case. He pointed out that the voice in the audio tapes of the telephone conversation was very clear. It was that of TDP Chief. Talking to media here at party headquarters today, Bhumana said that Chandrababu should have been arrested then. "Since he was not arrested people have lost faith in government and more over with people like Chandrababu left free the very fabric of democracy will take a hit."

The YSRCP spokesperson questioned why Chandrababu's name was not included in the charge sheet filed in Cash-For-Votes case. "This calls for questioning the sincerity of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in this matter." Everyone was equal in the eyes of the law had to abide by it, he asserted. According to Bhumana, Chandrababu should have been called in for questioning with respect to the case.

Bhumana said that out of fear of being imprisoned, the AP CM had struck deals with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and KCR in Telangana. This had helped him in slowing down the process of the case. He expressed his surprise over the TDP Chief claiming there no cases against him. The YSRCP spokesperson pointed out that due to the cash for votes case Chandrababu had shifted from Hyderabad, though the capital city for both Telugu states as per the state reorganisation act was to be Hyderabad for 10 years.
