Wine Shop Delivers Alcohol To Hyderabad Police, Video Goes Viral

Hyderabad: A video of Hyderabad police receiving alcohol from a wine shop went viral today. In the video shot outside Soni Metro Wines in Madhura Nagar, under SR Nagar police station jurisdiction, a person from the shop was seen delivering alcohol to the city police patrolling vehicle. The video, which is currently going viral on social media platforms, was reportedly shot by a youth.

Police officials enquired about the incident and found out that constable Suresh and homeguard Chaitanya were present in the vehicle. However, Suresh and Chaitanya dismissed the allegations and said that it was not their vehicle.

Panjagutta ACP Vijay Kumar said that a charge memo was sent to city police commissioner Anjani Kumar on this incident. "Constable Suresh and homegurad Chaitanya were present in the patrolling vehicle. Our investigation found out that Chaitanya purchased the alcohol for his sister's wedding, which is scheduled for tomorrow. Since he was on duty at that time, he sought the shopkeeper's help to place the bottles in the vehicle," said Vijay Kumar.
