Kannababu Joins YSRCP

Krishna District: Former Visakha district Yelamanchili MLA UV Ramana Murthy Raju, popularly known as Kannababu and his son U Sukumar Varma, Chairman of Visakha DCCB have quit Telugu Desam Party and joined YSR Congress Party today. They joined YSRCP in the presence of the party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who was on his historic walkathon Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Pedana constituency in Krishna district. YS Jagan welcomed them formally into the party.

Along with Kannababu, Telugu Youth Organising secretary DSN Raju, former MPP Srinivas Raju and Mandal general secretary Shankar Rao joined YSRCP. Over a 1000 supporters also joined the party. Speaking on the occasion, Kannababu said that Special Category Status to AP was possible only through YS Jagan. "We need to elect YS Jagan for us to return to Rajanna Rajyam. I will work like a disciplined soldier for this to be achieved," he added.
