3 Apr, 2018 13:13 IST|Sakshi
Either because of their controversies or because of their captains, some IPL teams have garnered huge popularity and highest fan following in the country

IPL 2019, season 12 has became one of the most exciting events to look forward to in the history of Indian Premier League with its controversies and auctions of the players. The much awaited league kicked off with no fanfare this time around as they didn’t want to have any blitz as a mark of respect to the Pulwama victims. In fact the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) which played the opening match donated the proceeds from its match to the families of Pulwana martyrs. The first match was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings. While the BCCI donated Rs 20 crores to the Indian Army before the IPL season 12 kicked off, the CSK made a generous contribution of Rs 2 crores to the families of CRPF men who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack.

Right from Day 1, cricket enthusiasts are indulging in promotion of their teams. Either because of their controversies or because of their captains, some IPL teams have garnered huge popularity and highest fan following in the country.

Here are the official anthems of all the IPL 12 teams competing this year...

So what if they had to exit the season without qualifying for the final game, the team continues to make news thanks to its star player Andre Russel. The cricketer draws a fat pay cheque of a whopping 7 crores (one million US dollars). It wouldn't be wrong if we said that Andre Russel largely dominated this season with his fantastic game.
