New Congress party in Seemandhra?

Rajahmundry MLA R. Suryaprakash Rao made a sensational statement. He hinted that soon there will be a new Congress party in the Seemandhra region.

Suryaprakash Rao said that there will be a Samaikyandhra Congress party if the Centre failed to reconsider its decision to carve out a separate Telangana state. "There will be clarity on the new party in 15 days."

Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi deserves credit for keeping the state united, he said, adding, state was burning after the decision to divide the state.

He urged Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to convene the Assembly and discuss the Telangana issue. He admitted that the division of the state was for political motive.
