NDA Government is Supporting AP Development: Amit Shah

Rajamundry: BJP national president Amit Shah on Sunday assured that the NDA government at the Centre will support Andhra Pradesh in all its endeavors for the development of the state.Speaking at a public meeting organized at Government Arts College grounds here, Amit Shah said it was NDA government that merged the seven disputed mandals into AP to facilitate the construction of Polavaram project. "Without those seven mandals, the project would never be possible," he said adding that it was NDA government that gave national project status to Polavaram and all the support would be provided by the Centre until its completion.

Amit announced that a HPCL refinary unit is coming up at Vizag with Rs25,000 crore and an AIIMS with Rs1,618 crore will come up at Mangalagiri. A central university will be established in Anantapur and a tribal university in Vizianagaram, the BJP leader said.

Union minister for urban development M. Venkaiah Naidu, Health and Family Welfare minister JP Nadda, state BJP leaders Kanna Laxminarayana, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Purandareshwari, Haribabu, AP endowments minister Manikyala Rao and other participated.
