Nayeem’s Associates Attack Woman Advocate

Over 40 goons claimed to be associates of slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin on Sunday attacked a woman advocate Bharatalaxmi. Police arrested main culprits and futher investigation is on.

Hyderabad: Over 40 goons claimed to be associates of slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin attacked a woman advocate and created ruckus in her house. The incident took place on Sunday morning at advocate Agnihotram Bharatalaxmi’s house located in SBI Colony, Musarambagh. Bharathi Lakshmi has lodged a complaint with the Malakpet police alleging that she was threatened by some miscreants who claimed to be associates of the gangster Nayeem.

Bharatalaxmi said that she along with her family has been staying in the house for nine years. Owner Srinivasa Rao has asked the advocate to vacate the house as he wanted to sell the flat, but the advocate moved the court and compromised with the owner in Lok Adalat. Bharatalaxmi said she would buy the flat and paid Rs six lakh in cash to the flat owner and that the remaining amount of Rs 20 lakh would be paid soon. However, the owner denied that he received any payment.

Two months ago, Surender Reddy from Bhongir asked the advocate to vacate as he purchased the flat. He also threatened the advocate that he’s close associate of Nayeem. Surender Reddy along with 40 people came on Sunday and created havoc in the house and threatened Bharatalaxmi to vacate the flat.

Bharatalaxmi in her police complaint said that Srinivasa Rao’s son Anirudh brought Surender Reddy to attack her. Malakpet Police arrested Surender Reddy, Nagaram Babu and other culprits. However, the police have taken up the investigation.

Inspector Ganga Reddy said they were verifying the details mentioned in the complaint and that they would initiate action only after the reports have been verified.

Meanwhile, another woman, Varalakshmi, lodged a complaint with the Medchal police stating that some persons, claiming to be associates of Nayeem took her signatures on blank papers in connection with her eight acre land which is located in Nalgonda. Her husband Balakrishna purchased the land in 2003. Later, Balakrishna died due to ill health. A few months ago, some persons posing as Nayeem’s associates, threatened her. Later, they forcibly took her signatures on blank papers.
