Navy Officer, Wife Killed In Bike Collision In Vizag
Visakhapatnam: An Indian Navy officer and his wife were killed when the bike they were travelling in collided with a two-wheeler at Gosthani Gate near Naval Area here in the city on Sunday evening.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Petty Officer Rajendrababu(35) and his wife Neethu (28). The couple was residing at Naval quarters in Sindhia locality of Vizag. The accident occurred when a biker who came in the opposite direction at a high speed crashed into the two-wheeler. Subsequently, the couple suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot.
The biker George too suffered severe injuries and was rushed to the nearest hospital in the city. A case has been registered under negligent driving and investigation is on.
