Air India Opens Its Bookings For Few International Countries From May 8

NEW DELHI: In an official statement on Wednesday, Air India opened bookings for those passengers who meet eligibility criteria and wish to travel from India to London, Singapore and select destinations in the United States.

According to the statement, they can travel on flights operating between May 8 to May 14.

Taking to the Twitter, Air India wrote, “We would like to inform all those who wish to travel from India to London, Singapore and select destinations in the USA on Air India flights operating between May 8 and May 14 to click on http://www.airindia.in/r1landingpage.htm for booking. Passengers are requested to read the eligibility criteria carefully as available on the link and proceed further for booking only if they meet the same."

For the evacuation of Indians from abroad, Air India is operating special flights from India to various destinations. Issuing a statement, Air India said that it will be accepting eligible passengers following the certain criteria.

Issuing guidelines, Air India said that before buying the tickets, passengers need to recheck their eligibility for travel by referring to the conditions on the respective countries regulatory website.

The flights scheduled for Thursday under the ‘Vande Bharat’ mission will ply from Kochi to Abu Dhabi, Delhi to Singapore and Calicut to Dubai.

Following the proper Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which were released on Tuesday, Air India has tested its pilots and crew for Covid-19 and the results were expected by Thursday.

The airlines also said that at the time of boarding the flight, passengers will have to undergo thermal screening as per the protocol of the Central government and only aymptomatic persons will be allowed to travel.
