HYDERABAD: Business tycoon Anand Mahindra is well known for his interesting posts on his Twitter. At times, he shares some inspirational stuff and some other times, he posts funny ones. Now, his recent post on a 94-year-old woman who makes sweets out of besan is going viral.
Anand Mahindra was tagged in a tweet by Dr Madhu Teckchandanai and later, he shared the video on his Twitter handle. The video is all about a 94-year-old Harbhajan Kaur from Chandigarh who started making sweets from four years and is fulfilling her long-term dream of earning by herself. The sweets which are prepared by Harbhajan Kaur, are sold in the nearby organic market by her daughter.
“The taste of the besan barfi was loved by all and was sold within minutes on the first day,” says the daughter. The grand old lady was so happy as she could earn Rs. 2,000 on the first day. She started preparing sweets from then and is continuing.
Anand Mahindra took to his twitter and tweeted as the 94-year-old woman is the entrepreneur of the year. His tweet further reads as, ''When you hear the word ‘start-up’ it brings to mind images of millennials in Silicon Valley or Bengaluru trying to build billion-dollar ‘unicorns’. From now on let’s also include a 94 yr old woman who doesn’t think it’s too late to do a start-up. She’s my entrepreneur of the year.”
