Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sar Sangh Chalak (chief) Mohan Bhagwat cautioned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Shiv Sena over power-sharing in Maharashtra. Bhagwat opined that both parties will be at a loss if they continue to fight with each other in forming government in Maharashtra.

RSS chief added that everyone knows that selfishness is a bad thing but only a very few people give up their selfishness. Take the example of the country or of individuals, said Bhagwat.

Both the Shiv Sena and BJP, had contested the assembly polls together and got separated after their clash over power-sharing in the state. After that, Shiv Sena is currently has joined hands with NCP and Congress which have 54 and 44 MLAs, respectively, in the state Assembly for government formation.

On the other hand, the BJP party has emerged as the single-largest party in Maharashtra with 105 seats.
