Pakistan based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has sent a letter to Rohtak Railway station officials, threatening to blow up several railway stations and famous temples across six states India during the upcoming festival of Dussehra in October.

According to reports, Jaish-e-Mohammad warned that Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, Bhopal and Kota railway stations would be blown up. It also said that several temples in Rajasthan, Jaipur, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana would also be blasted.

Haryana Police have confirmed that the threat letter was issued by Jaish-e-Mohammad from Karachi and started an investigation into the matter.

The letter was written in Hindi and sent using an ordinary mail to the Rohtak Railway station officials. Tension prevails near the border between India and Pakistan ever since the dissolution of Article 370 and the partition of the state into the Union Territory. Pakistan admits that it cannot win in a traditional war against India, and planning a terror attack on India.

Police officers beefed up security in and around the Rewari railway station and other important places named in the letter.
