Haryana: A minor girl was gangraped and sold for Rs 70,000 by two men at Gharaunda in Haryana. According to police, the girl and her mother were working as daily wage labourers in the village.
On the day of the incident, the girl went to fields for work. There, she met a contractor Saurabh and Guddu, who convinced her to go with them. At first, Saurabh and Guddu forced her to drink and then they raped her. After the rape, the victim was left behind at Gharaunda Herbal park and then the accused started speaking to various people in a bid to sell the girl. Later, the girl was sold for Rs 70,000 in Kiloi.
It is learnt that two women and a former chairman of the municipality of Gharaunda was also involved in this incident and it was he who decided to sell the girl.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim's mother, the local police arrested the accused and a case registered under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO act. However, the two women reportedly involved in the crime are yet to be arrested.
