Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi featured in the special episode of 'Man vs Wild' on Discovery Channel with host Bear Grylls. The PM urged the world to live in harmony with nature and highlighted the importance of preserving wildlife and also shed light on climate change.

The episode was shot in the jungles of Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand in February 2019.

Here are the top moments from the episode:

1. Modi on fear

Bears Grylls asks Modi whether he feared anything in life? Modi replied saying he never had a good answer about 'nervousness' as it was never part of his experience.

"My problem is that I have never experienced such fears. I'm unable to explain it to people what nervousness is and how to deal with it because my in-built temperament is very positive. I see positivity in everything. And because of that reason, I am never disappointed," Modi said.

2. Modi on sustainable development

"If you fight against nature, then it is dangerous. But if you coexist with nature, it helps you in return and there is no sense of fear," PM Modi said.

The PM said that if we take anything from nature, we should think that kids who are born 50 years from now will ask: Why did you spoil my share of clean air? "I am a vegetarian and I know the value of environment for animals," he added.

3. Modi on conservation and life-style problems

Modi sportingly climbing a make-shift raft to cross a river and talking to Grylls who was half-submerged in the icy Himalayan waters.

Modi, rain-drenched, insisted that for him conservation was high on the priority list. "In India, every plant is considered holy and given the status of God. The imbalances and wrath of nature that we witness today can be attributed to the large-scale exploitation where human beings are becoming increasingly self-centred. Our lifestyle is a major problem and we must put a stop to exploiting nature at the earliest," he said.

4. Modi's vacation in 18 years

"I have dedicated the last five years to the development and I am very happy. If this can be called a vacation then this would be the first time I have taken a vacation in 18 years," PM Modi said told Bear Grylls.

5. Modi on Swacch Bharat

PM Modi said, "The people of India can make India clean. Personal hygiene is in the culture of the Indian people. We need to develop the habit of social hygiene. Mahatma Gandhi has done a lot of work on it and recently we are getting success in this. I believe India will succeed in this very soon."
