A Delhi-based woman has reportedly complained against an IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre of concealing facts about his previous marriage and getting married to her. The woman further accused the official of getting into an extra-marital affair with her hiding facts of his previous marriage. The IAS officer in question, Gaurav Dahiya, is said to have refuted her allegations and called her a blackmailer. She had befriended him on social media and what followed was a case of honeytrap, the 2010 batch officer is reported to have said in his defence. The IAS official is also said to have accused the woman of maintaining multiple social media handles and IDs. He reportedly charged the woman of pressuring him to divorce his wife of eight years and of threatening to share doctored photographs of the two of them.

The woman, on her part, has reportedly stated in her complaint that Dahiya took her to Tirupati in February 2018 and got married to her in a private ceremony as per Hindu customs.

Gandhinagar police are investigating the case, according to media reports.
