Hyderabad: What are you doing to beat the sizzling summer? Take long showers, drink lots of water, on the AC and chill or tune in to YouTube for cooling hacks. We are sure that you have not tried this, ever! This one resident in Ahmedabad has come up with an unusual way of beating the heat. The photo of the cooling hack has taken the world of social media by storm.

Facebook user Rupesh Gauranga Das shared an image of a Toyota car coated in cow dung. Yes, you heard that right! He captioned the image, "Best use of cow dung I have ever seen. It’s in Ahmedabad. To counter 45 degrees heat temperatures and protect car from getting hot Mrs. Sejal shah has plastered her car with cow dung. Getting cool."

Although, the car was spotted in Ahmedabad, it had a Maharashtra state number plate.

Coating houses in cow dung is a common practice in Indian villages. People in rural India coats their houses with cow dung as it is believed that it makes the structure warm during winters and cool during summers. It is also seen as a natural disinfectant and mosquito repellant.

With the photograph going viral, many users asked how they were dealing with the odour from the cow dung. Some users also asked how much layers of coating was required to cool the vehicle.

Strange, ain’t it? If you are one of those trying this cooling trick to beat the heat, let us know in the comments section below.
