Delhi: Good news for Domestic gas consumers! Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), India's largest fuel retailer has given a notification regarding liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices.

The price of non-subsidised (LPG) has been reduced by Rs 133 per cylinder and the price of subsidised LPG has been reduced by Rs 6.52 per cylinder.

Effective from December 1 2018.

This is due to the fall in LPG prices in the international market and strengthening of the rupee against the dollar.

The cooking gas (LPG) prices were cut by Rs 6.52 per cylinder on account of tax impact on the reduced market rate for the fuel.

The non-subsidised rates have been cut steeply by Rs 133 per cylinder due to fall in international oil rates and strengthening of the rupee as it is mandatory for the LPG consumers to buy the fuel at market price.

GST on LPG, is calculated at the market rate of the fuel and changes in LPG prices occur when the international rates go up, and subsidy is cut when the rates come down.
