New York: The massive mandate Narendra Modi secured in the recently concluded elections won adulation from far and wide. But what is interesting is ‘Time’ magazine which won wrath from several in India for calling ‘Modi: The divider in chief’ few weeks back, in its recent issues came out with a piece that sang paeans to Modi.

In an article authored by Manoj Ladwa, founder and chief executive of the India Inc Group, a London-based media organisation, titled his write-up as “Modi Has United India Like No Prime Minister In Decades’.

The article comes just days after BJP won a landslide victory in the country’s general elections, emerging victorious in 303 seats in the 542-member Lok Sabha.

“Despite the strong and often unfair criticism leveled at Modi’s policies both throughout his first term and this marathon election, no Prime Minister has united the Indian electorate as much in close to five decades,” Ladwa writes.

Earlier, Aatish Taseer in his ‘Modi: The divider in chief’ has flayed Modi alleging that he had brought about disharmony in a multicultural and multiethnic society like India. Taseer was castigated by BJP and Modi supporters.
