YSRCP MPs staging protest near Parliament

New Delhi: Former YSR Congress Party MPs made it clear that it was YSRCP that would continue to fight relentlessly for achieving Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh and fulfill the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act. The YSRCP leaders met at YV Subba Reddy's residence here today to discuss TDP-BJP alliance as well as strategy to be adopted by its party during the Parliament session.

After the meeting, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Vara Prasad and YV Subba Reddy spoke to media and reminded the media persons that for the sake of SCS, YSRCP MPs had sacrificed their posts and sat on an indefinite fast without bothering about the impending health problems.

The YSRCP leaders said that if only TDP MPs had joined them in protest and resigned from their posts, the situation would have been completely different. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was staging a new drama every day and the TDP did not have moral credibility to move a no-trust motion in Lok Sabha. They remarked that today's no-trust motion was yet another drama and was part of TDP-BJP alliance game to divert the country's attention from main issues.

As part of their protest demanding SCS to AP, the former YSRCP MPs staged a protest today near Gandhi statue outside the Parliament.
