Narrow Escape For 50 Passengers As Volvo Bus Catches Fire
Visakhapatnam: A Palem-like fire mishap has been averted when a volvo bus caught fire at Paravadapalem village in Kasimkota mandal of Visakhapatnam district. The incident is learnt to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the bus, belongs to Kaveri travels, was carrying a marriage group from Hyderabad to Anakapalli.
About 50 people breathed a sigh of relief after a car driver, who noticed the fire from the rear end of the bus, alerted the bus driver. Immediately, all the passengers were evacuated. The bus reduced to ashes within seconds. The fire tenders rushed to the scene and doused the fire. The police registered a case and launched investigation.
In another incident, a private travels bus travelling from Prakasam district to Hyderabad caught fire on Saturday. One of the passengers alerted the driver when smoke emanated from the bus. All the passengers were safely evacuated.
