Nalgonda accords warm welcome for Y S Vijayamma

“Keep a vigil on the voters’ list to ensure victory in the local body elections,” Y S Vijayamma, honorary president of YSR Congress told the party workers at a huge gathering in Kodada as part of the road show on Wednesday.

Vijayamma was accorded a warm welcome when took out a road show at Kodada in Nalgonda district.

She unveiled the bronze statue of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy amid the slogans of the party workers and supporters of YSR and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Earlier, she consoled the family members of Gunnam Nagireddy, YSR Congress leaders, who died recently. She also unveiled the statue of YSR at Nakirekal on the way to Kodada.

Addressing the mammoth gathering, Vijayamma called upon the party workers to make efforts for party victory in the panchayat elections. Hailing the discipline among the party workers, she said they should prove their strength and also the party strength to the opposition parties in the ensuing local body polls. She reminded that the ruling Congress party had resorted to unethical methods in the cooperative polls and cautioned the workers against repetition of such acts. She alleged that the Congress government was supplying low quality commodities through ‘Amma Hastham’. Late YSR had provided all necessary needs to the panchayats in the State, but now they have been landed in the doldrums now, she remarked.

Coming down heavily on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for raising power charges, Vijayamma said he failed to get central funds. The Government imposed many restrictions on the ‘Arogya Sri’ diluting the purpose of the scheme, she lamented.
