Naidu scheming to avoid loan waiver implementation: YSRCP

Castigating the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for passing the buck on to the YSR regime and the successor Governments for the present state of affairs in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party today asked him to implement his poll promises instead of wasting time in the name of white papers and vision documents.

Taking a dig at Naidu’s idea of bringing out white papers on different issues, party Uravakonda MLA Y. Visweswara Reddy told reporters here that Naidu’s plan to bring out white papers has given room for doubting his intentions.

“People are terrified of his vision documents and white papers. In the past, Naidu’s Vision 2020 document was proved to be bogus. His plans now to bring out white papers on various issues could be to dilute the welfare schemes and avoid implementing his poll promise on waiver of DWCKRA and farm loans,” Visweswara Reddy said, adding that Chandrababu is planning to push through the World Bank policies in the state.

Objecting to Naidu’s remarks over the past Governments, he said YSR implemented his poll promises immediately after coming to power and instilled confidence among people. “All sectors developed in the regime of YSR and welfare schemes were implemented successfully during his regime. But you have betrayed the expectations of crores of people on your swearing-in day by announcing committee on farm loan waiver instead of directly waiving the loans as promised by you,” he told Naidu.

Expressing concern that the farmers are not in a position to go ahead with the Khariff season, Visweswara Reddy asked Chandrababu Naidu to implement the loan waiver without any delay to help the farming community instead of wasting time in the name of vision documents and white papers.

“Work in such a way that YSRCP will also become a partner in the development of the state,” he told the AP CM.
