Amid all the groupism in the Congress party, actress and AICC Women Wing General Secretary, Nagma is a part of the controversy now.

In the past, there was a tough competition among various senior women leaders for the position of General Secretary. However, this position was bagged by MLA Vijayadharani. During this, there was a constant friction between the actresses, Khusboo and Nagma.

On receiving information from Delhi that Nagma was arriving at Chennai on Thursday, MLA Vidhyadharani set up a committee to invite Nagma for an event which was to be held at Satya Murthy Bhavan on Friday.
Due to group-ism, the women leaders instead of going themselves have sent their party workers to invite Nagma for the event.

The party workers who reached Nagma with an invitation were shocked when she refused the invitation. Angry over this, the party workers have complained about this to Vijayadharani, who in turn called Nagma and expressed her frustration about her behavior with the party workers. Instead of things getting better, the situation got worse when Nagma cancelled the event.

Few sources say that the cancellation of the event was because no senior leaders have come to invite her. However, on the other side, Khusboo along with the other party leaders were frustrated about Nagma's behavior and stated that they would complain about this to the higher ups.

Tamil Nadu Congress committee (TNCC) President E.V.K.S. Elangovan who was expecting her at the event was disappointed to see that Nagma hasn't turned up. More information about this is yet to be known.
