Hyderabad: Even as an unfazed Pavani Reddy, the wife of TV actor Pradeep who committed suicide on Wednesday, claims that her husband took the extreme step in the spur of a moment, mystery is deepening as several questions regarding the scene of incident remained unanswered.

A funeral was performed for the mortal remains of the demised actor at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills on Thursday after a post-mortem was conducted at Osmania Hospital on his body.

Though prima facie it appeared to be a suicide, police registered a case of a mysterious death as certain issues remained unclear. Narsingi police said a further probe is being conducted on the basis of the statements of Pradeep's mother and brothers. The post-mortem report also confirmed it was a suicide.

Contrary to Pavani's claim that they had no differences whatsoever, Pradeep's close circles allege that he was little disturbed over wife's acting assignments in recent months.

Pavani was already into acting when they fell in love some four-five years back and they got married a few months ago. Pradeep was doing a main role in TV serials - Saptha Matrika and Aruguru Pativratalu, while his wife Pavani is doing a role in Agnipooulu.

The police have started their investigations into the suicide and a case has been registered under 174 of CrPC. They brought him down and took him to a hospital where doctors pronounced him as dead, Narsingi Police Station Inspector P Ramchander Rao said. “Though the exact reasons behind Pradeep’s extreme step are still not known, the couple had a minor quarrel last night,” the inspector told media. He also was quoted as saying that there were visible wounds on the body. The cause of death will only be confirmed post-mortem

As speculations are rife that the actor had some dispute with his family, there are also rumors that the recently married actor was in heavy debts and was under pressure to repay them.

Meanwhile, the social buzz raised the following questions in the case:

Why was Sravan, not a relative of either Pradeep or Pavani, staying at their home? Sravan, who came from Qatar four months ago, is staying in the couple's house. Even as the news spread, that Pradeep was hurt by a profile pic of Sravan and Pavani close together, on his wife's phone, neither Pavani nor Sravan try to remove it.

What happened between 10.30pm, the time he locked inside the room and 4am, the time at which Pradeep hanged himself?

Whose blood was on the walls and why were blood stains on the floor wiped off?

Did he beat himself with the bottle or someone else beat him?

Why was Pradeep's body found beneath the bed and how did it come out?

What was Sravan doing after Pradeep locked himself in his room?
