Mushroom In Ganesh Shape Attracts Crowds In Janagam  

Janagam: Even as Ganesh Navaratri celebrations are going on with religious fervor all the over the state, a Ganesh-shaped mushroom that grew under a neem tree in Janagam town of Warangal on Friday became a huge attraction.

Devout residents of the town and nearby villages are thronging the site to have a darshan of ‘Mushroom Ganesha’. Poojas are being performed to the mushroom saying it is a miracle especially because the god-shaped mushroom came up during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Some people are even trying to build a temple around it.

Incidentally, people of the town have been demanding for the creation of Janagam district for quite some time now and they claim god also is supporting their demand by showing up in a mushroom.
