Mudragada’s Unique Protest After Cops Stop him 

With the police prevening him from taking out his padayatra even on Saturday, Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabham resorted to a different kind of protest. He and the other Kapu leaders places flowers on their ear lobes to highlight the State Government's betrayal of Kapus.

Mudragada asked the officials to allow him to take out his padayatra from his home village of Kirlampudi in East Godavari, but the police told him that they did not get any directive from their higher authorities on the issue of according permission. An angry Mudragada demanded that the police should arrest him or aloow him to launch the yatra. When the police refused to do both and did not allow him to come out of the house, Mudragada and other Kapu leaders placed flowers on their ear lobes as a mark of protest.
