MS Dhoni Winning Shot, The Memorable Six

It was seven years ago, at the ICC World Cup 2011 when all the cricket fans went crazy over the then Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for making the Indians raise their head in pride. It was the second World Cup for India after another cricket star Kapil Dev won it for the country in 1983.

Among his track records, Dhoni's was most remembered for his shot at World Cup 2011, a shot which made Indian fans go crazy over cricket. Although the former cricket captain had hit several sixes in the earlier championships, the shot at the World Cup finale against Sri Lanka had made him world famous. Indians still praise Dhoni for his best moments at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on April 2, 2011.

Regardless of interest in Cricket, everyone stayed glued to their TV sets to watch the finale and Dhoni's six had made India win against Srilanka. The winning shot realised the dream of lakhs of Indian cricket fans of getting the world cup true after 28 years.

MS Dhoni made 91 runs in 79 balls not out. The Ultimate winning shot was hit in a partnership with Yuvraj Singh.
