MP Constable Recruitment: Male Cops Take Women’s Measurements
Bhopal: In a bizzare incident, the medical tests for both men and women were conducted in the same room during a constable recruitment drive in Madhya Pradesh. What was more awkward than this situation was that the measurements of women candidates were taken by male cops.
The footage of the police conducting the physical exmaination of women has gone viral on social media. The video shows semi nude male candidates undergoing the test while the women are getting their tests done in the same room. Neither the women police officers nor any female doctors are seen in the room.

It is mandatory to deploy women officers, female doctors and nurses while recruiting women candidates into the police department. After the video went viral, the government has ordered an immediate probe on the issue demanding that action be taken against the examination branch and the officers.
Around 217 candidates have been selected for physical tests for the police recruitment including male and female. As of now, 18 female and 21 male candidates have been examined.
Earlier, on April 28, two police officers were suspended for dividing candidates based on their castes. The police officials scribbled the castes of the candidates on their chest to avoid confusion during the recruitment process.
