Mother strangles baby girl to death in Ranga Reddy

It is something else than the mixture of mind-sets, customs and economics that makes a girl-child a bad omen, an unwanted being in the country.

It is definitely the brutality that is disposing off baby-girls long before they are born. Here was another heinous incident of similar gender bias, in which a mother killed her new born baby.

This shocking incident happened at Vunduru tanda of Vikarabad in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday. One Savitha delived a baby girl on Saturday evening and she alredy has two more daughters. Reportedly upset over this, she strangled her one-day-old baby girl to death.
The incident shocked nurses. Police reached the spot and have begun investigations.
