Monkey Sips Petrol To Get High, Video Goes Viral

Haryana: You may have seen a monkey eating banana or nuts but this monkey in Panipat refuses to eat them and instead sips petrol. Yes, you read that right. A video of a monkey drinking petrol from a bike has gone viral. The 'smart' monkey indulges in the mischief when it is watched by none. It pulls off fuel pipe and then drinks the petrol.

Unaware, who was the culprit, the people in Insaan Bazar annoyed with the act decided to keep a watch. But they were astonished to find out that the culprit was a monkey. Gaurav Leekha, who is in-charge of a volunteer organisation said," The monkey was clearly addicted and on a high. Despite offering bananas etc. it refused to eat." The 'high' monkey might have given sleepless nights to motorists but Leekha says that it never troubled anyone.

Closer home, a picture of a snake sipping toddy from an earthen pot hung on a tree in Mancheriyala has gone viral. Earlier, a king cobra made news after it sipped water from a bottle. The footage of snake expert Raghavendra offering water to the reptile is also doing the rounds on the social media.
