“Governor has denied sending any report to the Centre. We know who is leaking information. They are doing this to split us. Our MLAs are very well aware of this,” she says

The MLAs are not being held captive and they are steadfast in their support despite facing threats from the opposition camp, said AIADMK general secretary V K Sasikala.

Addressing the media after meeting the MLAs at Golden Bay resort in Kuvathur, she said “You know the power that is behind the rebels. You are all intelligent. Isn't it?” You will also see our next course of action. You are also here. Wait and see,” she added.

She also asked the journalists to take a head count of MLAs.

“Governor has denied sending any report to the Centre. We know who is leaking information. They are doing this to split us. Our MLAs are very well aware of this,” she says.

Earlier journalists covering the visit of AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala's visit to the resort staged a protest after some of them were allegedly manhandled by some persons.

Journalists present at the site alleged that while they have already been denied entry to the resort, some persons allegedly manhandled a few of their colleagues and snatched their mobile phones.

The reporters, photographers and video cameramen staged a protest by squatting on the road leading to the resort.

They shouted slogans against the presence of alleged 'goons' and wanted to be allowed to discharge their duty of covering the proceedings.

They also alleged the police personnel present there of inaction.

Later, the journalists withdrew their protest after their mobile phones were returned.
