MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah arrested

Satthupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the infamous Cash for Votes scam.

He was arrested after the questioning in connection with the scam. He is the second TDP MLA to be arrested in the case. Another MLA, Revanth Reddy, was arrested and released on bail recently.

Earlier, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was questioned at the Anti-Corruption Bureau office on Monday morning in the cash-for-vote scam. Sandra Venkata Veeraiah is stated to be one of the key operatives on behalf of the TDP in the sordid saga of buying votes to win the MLC polls. He was questioned for over seven hours. It came to light that Mathaiah Jerusalem called him for eight times in the run up to the efforts aimed at luring TRS MLA Stephenson.

Veeraiah, who managed to avoid questioning in the cash-for-vote scam citing health grounds, informed the ACB officials recently that he was ready to appear for questioning.

Jimmy Babu, a confidant of both Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Redddy, is also expected to be questioned by ACB on Monday July
