MLA lists out reasons for quitting Cong

Chintalapudi MLA Maddala Rajesh Kumar is more worried that his Assembly segment has remained backward after the sudden demise of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. Listing out the reasons as to why he was forced to walk out of the Congress, Rajesh Kumar, in a three-page letter, said that his constituency was completely ignored after Dr Rajasekhara Reddy’s demise.

Not even a single development work was sanctioned for his constituency in the past two years, the MLA said adding that continuing in the Congress will only push his Assembly segment further backward. When he could not do anything to the voters who elected him with the fond hope of developing the constituency in all the sectors, there is absolutely no meaning in continuing in the same party that is completely ignoring the people’s aspirations, Rajesh Kumar felt.
He was confident that by strengthening the hands of YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy he could rise to the expectations of the people of his constituency. “I am convinced that I can take suitable measures for the overall development of my Assembly segment and also fulfill the aspirations of the people of my constituency. I have thus decided to quit the Congress and join Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is increasingly being accepted as the beacon of hope of all sections of the people of the State,” the MLA said in the letter.
