A still from MLA

Kalyan Ram's atest outing MLA is performing well at the box office. The film has received ixed reviews from critics and public alike. The film was released with other two new films— Rajaratham and Needi Naadi Oke Katha. Kalyan Ram has a connect with the Telugu audiences a reason why his film is going great at the worldwide box office. The word of mouth for the film is good which is pulling the audience into theatres. The fact that there was festival weekend and several schools and colleges have just finished the academic year is certainly helping the movie's fortunes by drawing a decent crowd to theatres.

The film managed to earn Rs 3.5 Cr on its second day at the ticket window. On Sunday, it collected Rs 1.5 the total of which now stands at Rs 4.5 Cr approximately by first weekend at the box office. These are best openings in Kalyan Ram's Career. There are four more days for the film to run successfully in theatres because Ram Charan's Rangasthalam will open in theatres this weekend on March 30. Sources inform us that Rangasthalam makers are planning to release only in fewer screens so hopefully it won't become a threat to Kalyan Ram's MLA. But, it might be removed from most of the theatres in well-known areas that has huge Telugu population.
